Relaxing Week End

Completed the grocery shopping and hubby helped me unload the car and put stuff away. When you have a family of five and shop every two weeks this is a project. One I confess I really enjoy.

I spent the afternoon reading, painting and cooking. How much better can you get than that? Hubby went to the hobbie store and found more models to work on.

I love the lotion. It needs some tweaking for next time but, I love it. I dribbled a tiny bit of lavender essential oil in but, it smells faintly of coconut from the oil and a hint of the sweet almond oil.

Today a friend is joining me to make a new batch of soap. I haven't bought the essential oils yet so, I'm not sure what "flavor" they will be yet. I have one batch of moisturizing soap made for hubby so this will have clay in it for me and the kids.

And tonight I am going to play with the cedar sheet wraps I found and make cedar smoked salmon for me and shrimp for hubby.

I like your new look. I'm glad the lotion came out well. That's a cool thing to be able to make.

That sounds like a delightful weekend. Your lotion and soap making are creative and I use a clay based rosemary and verbena cleanser on my skin and just love it. I would love to hear more about your painting too. Thanks, Kim.
